Arundhaty Roy’s novel The God of Small Things is a political manuscript which conveys Marxist approach and throws the light on the fact that the Indian society is so much primitive that there is still the caste system in it. There is class struggle in the society and on the base of the resources the society has been divided in two main groups; bourgeoisie and proletariat. Bourgeoisie is the upper class of society that creates an ideology for the benefits of its own and tries to exploit the lower class for its own benefits. At the same time there have been given so many suggestions to improve the present state of affairs. However, the study argues about the communism, its impacts, false ideology of the bourgeoisie, exploitation of the lower class by the upper class, feminist perspective and the colonial impacts and mainly the Marxist thoughts.
